Bruschetta makes an excellent snack, appetizer, or side dish. It’s fresh, tasty, and so versatile. Whether you’re enjoying it as an appetizer or as part of a larger meal, there are plenty of tasty recipes to pair it with!

What is Bruschetta and How Do You Eat It?

Bruschetta is a classic recipe that features small toasted baguette slices drizzled with olive oil and topped with tomatoes, balsamic, and basil. 

Bruschetta is most often served as an appetizer, but can also be enjoyed as a side dish. 

What is the Difference Between Caprese and Bruschetta?

While both recipes include tomato, basil, and balsamic, there are a couple of key differences. 

Bruschetta is made with toasted baguette slices with oil, tomatoes, balsamic, and basil.

Caprese is more of a salad made up of fresh mozzarella, tomato slices, and basil drizzled with a balsamic glaze.

Which Bread is Used for Bruschetta?

The traditional bread used for bruschetta is a crusty French baguette. 

However, it can really be made using any rustic bread that sounds good to you. You could also try it with ciabatta or sourdough

What Type of Tomato is Most Commonly Used for Bruschetta?

Classic bruschetta is made using fresh Roma tomatoes, so that’s what I used in my cream cheese bruschetta recipe. 

If you prefer to try another variety of tomatoes, feel free! 

What to Serve with Bruschetta

There are tons of recipes you can enjoy with your favorite bruschetta recipe! Pick one or a couple to create a complete meal.

This recipe is ready to enjoy in under 20 minutes. Keep your noodles vegetarian or add in your favorite protein to round out your meal!

This garlic parmesan pasta recipe is a mouthwatering, comforting, restaurant-quality pasta dish.

I love making it with long noodles, but feel free to make it with whatever pasta shape you like best.

It’s smothered in a rich and creamy white sauce made with pasta water, heavy cream and milk, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and plenty of garlic.

Enjoy on its own or pair with your favorite protein. Chicken, steak, and shrimp are all delicious options!

It’s made with canned veggies, beans, and chicken for the easiest preparation possible! 

To make this soup, simply drain the canned ingredients, then combine them all in a large pot.

Pour in your broth, season with a few staples, then bring to a simmer and cook until heated through.

It’s also one that gets requested a lot. Win for me and win for the family!

This pizza is made with a flaky puff pastry crust layered with savory pizza sauce, melty mozzarella cheese, and your choice of pizza toppings.

We love pepperoni, but feel free to use whatever combination sounds good to you!

This beef and tomato casserole is a hearty dinner that’s loved by all! It’s made with tender pasta tossed with lean ground beef in a rich and creamy tomato sauce.

It’s made even better with the addition of parmesan and cheddar cheese—because who doesn’t love a cheesy pasta dish?
