Pan Seared Halibut
Combine the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Pat the halibut fillets dry with a paper towel, then season both sides with the seasonings.
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add oil, butter, and halibut. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
Deglaze the hot pan with white wine, them add lemon juice and simmer.
Add heavy cream, and cook for 3 to 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Add capers, and remove from heat.
Serve the lemon caper sauce over halibut fillets, and enjoy immediately.
