Strawberry Guava Lemonade

Ingredients

For the Strawberries

  • ½ pound strawberries fresh, hulled and chopped
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar divided

For the Lemonade

  • 3 cups water
  • 3 cups guava nectar
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • cup honey
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Instructions

For the Strawberries

  • Combine the strawberries and ¼ cup of sugar in a medium bowl. Use a fork or potato masher to break down the strawberries as much as possible. Then, set aside.
    ½ pound strawberries, ¼ cup granulated sugar

For the Lemonade

  • In a small to medium saucepan, stir together the water, guava juice, the remaining sugar and honey. Bring it to a boil over medium high heat, while stirring occasionally. Once the sugar dissolves, remove the pan from heat and set aside to cool completely.
    3 cups water, 3 cups guava nectar, ⅓ cup honey, ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • Add the macerated strawberries to a large pitcher. Then, pour in the cooled guava mixture along with the lemon juice. Stir well.
    1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Serve over ice and enjoy!
