Add the water and sugar to a medium saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves.

Remove from the heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature. Transfer it to the fridge and chill until cold.
Pour the ingredients (including 1 cup of chilled simple syrup) into a large punch bowl, and stir to combine.
