Ingredients

For the Seasoning Mix

  • 1 ½ teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt or adjust to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ to ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper or adjust to taste

For the Fish

  • 24 ounces mahi mahi filets approximately 6 ounces each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

To Make the Blackened Seasoning

  • In a small bowl, combine the ingredients for the seasoning mix. Set aside.

To Prepare the Fish

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  • Use paper towels to pat the fish filets dry, then rub them with olive oil.
    24 ounces mahi mahi filets, 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Sprinkle all sides of the filets with the blackened seasoning, and place the fish into the air fryer basket. Make sure to leave some space around each piece of fish.
  • Cook for 10-13 minutes, flipping halfway through. The fish is finished when it flakes easily with a fork or reaches 145°F on an instant read thermometer.
