French Bread
Place 2 ½ cups flour, water, olive oil, sugar, yeast, and salt in a stand mixer.
Use the dough hook attachment to mix on low-medium speed until a smooth dough forms. Add more flour as needed.
Form the dough into a ball, and lightly grease with olive oil. Cover the bowl, and allow the dough to double in size.
After the dough doubles in size and becomes puffy, use your hand to deflate it.
After the dough doubles in size, form it into a 12x3 inch loaf, and transfer it to a parchment lined baking pan. Allow to to double in size again.
Once the dough has doubled in size, bake on 375°F for 25 to 35 minutes over a steam bath.
Serve as a side dish with your favorite entree.
